Lumberton Rebuild April 30-May 13, 2017

5.6     April 30-May 6: Last week we went home for our grandson Walker’s first birthday.  Then we spent a couple of days at the lake cleaning the house and the yard.  Billy and David came back on Wednesday.  Pictured is the team from Watermark Church in Troutman.  We also had a small group from Shiloh Baptist, Monroe & First Baptist Kernersville.  Teams have been busy still doing tear outs while others installed flooring and mudding sheetrock.Mission Trip Adventures 5.13     May 7-13: 1-Biltmore, Asheville; 2-Larry & Bill, two of our six cooks for the week; 3-Westwood Baptist, Cary; 4-Greystone Baptist, Raleigh; 5-Fran, my great helper for the week; 6-Trinity Baptist, Raleigh; 7-Western Carolina University BCM.Mission Trip Adventures 5.131     This week has been very busy. We have been pushing ourselves very hard to get the new Lumberton Rebuild Center ready for the Open House Celebration on May 17 at 11:00.  Volunteers have been painting. building picnic tables, shelves and walk ways.  Dianne took on the project of building a prayer garden.  The WCU students helped her and then had prayer over it. Several volunteers have been working on Inez Bullock’s home in Fair Bluff.  It is all but complete so they dedicated the home to her on Wednesday.

For the past 3 months we have spent a lot of time getting the Rebuild Center up and running.  The Center is now in full operation. Meals are provided Monday breakfast through Saturday lunch, there are bunk beds for 60 people at this time (with an additional 30 just waiting for a mattress), Indoor showers as well as a shower unit, tool/materials room, prayer garden and a grass open area for group meetings.  Additional bunk trailers will be brought in as needed.  With additional bunk units we will be able to house and feed up to 150 per day.  There are also 3 full hook up camper sites and 4 water/power sites.  E-mail, call or text Ann to make reservations for yourself or team.
