Our first week on the job

We started work on Monday, April 7. The whole house needed to be gutted. This was the kitchen and one of the most damaged rooms.

With lots of help the tear out was completed in 2 1/2 days. Sharon, JD, Sam and a group from Cool Springs Baptist Church in Sanford were there to help.
That's JD on the ladder. He has been here helping us every day since we started.
This is the group from Sanford. The one in the blue cap is Billy's cousin Ira and the pastor.
This is the former den after the ceiling was removed, about a foot deep in insulation which the youth from our church, Momeyer Baptist, bagged and removed.
Pastor Travis Cain from Grace Chapel worked really hard Monday and Tuesday. We didn't see him the rest of the week because he said he had some "pastor work to do". I think he was resting.

Momeyer Baptist Church Youth Group and leaders. They worked really hard. We really appreciated their help. They did get to have some fun before they went back home by having a garbage bag race.

Rayford gives Connie (the homeowners) a pat on the back for all of her hard work. Just kidding, they both have worked really hard.

Grace Chapel Church has a food bank on the 1st & 2nd Friday of each month. They let me help pack bags and distribute them.

This is Holly, a member of Grace Chapel, who cooked us a wonderful meal and came over to the house with her daughter to help out.

Oh, WOW...what a mess, hu? Oh, but with all the wonderful help you seem to have, it will look soooo good soon!
Good luck on winning the little bird hook...
