Mission Trip Adventures May 14–June3, 2017

It’s been a very hectic three weeks since our last blog post.  I will blame it on finishing up the new Lumberton Rebuild Center and all the excitement with the dedication plus taking some time off for the Memorial Day weekend holiday and spending some family time with our loved ones. So here are three weeks in one. Someone in our group was interviewed by a news crew each of these weeks. Be sure read the articles and watch the videos posted below each week. We are gearing up for June and July to be our busiest months yet so no more excuses.Mission Trip Adventures 5.20     We had a nice crowd at the Dedication Ceremony held on May 17.  Mike Sprayberry Director of NC Emergency Management was our guest speaker. Paul recruited a great feeding team to come in especially for this event and they did an outstanding job both with the food and decorating. Richard Brunson, Executive Director of NCBM cut the ribbon for our grand opening.

We would like to invite everyone to come and visit us in our new home and stay a few days or a week and help put the Hurricane Matthew survivors back in their homes.Mission Trip Adventures 5.201     Volunteers Week of May 14-20: 1-Salisbury Baptist Church; 2-Euto Baptist Church-ONE Student Ministries, Marshville; 3-Greystone Baptist, Raleigh; 4-Grace Baptist Church, Laurinburg; 5-Region 3-4-5 Feeding Team; 6-Moravia Moravian Church, Oakridge.
